A business account at kompasbank is available in three packages: Starter, Growth, and Scale. The main difference between the packages is the exchange rate you get when you convert currency. The more you convert, the better the rate - and the faster a larger package pays for itself. In this article, you can read what the three packages include and how to choose the right one.
What is the difference between the packages?
All three packages give you access to the same core services: DKK and EUR accounts, local and international payments, and currency exchange via the netbank. The difference lies in the subscription price and the currency margin you pay when exchanging.

The account fee is fixed each month. The currency margin is added on top of the market rate each time you exchange.
Which package suits your company?
The packages are built around how much your company exchanges currency.
Starter - for companies that exchange occasionally Starter is for companies with a few international payments and only occasional currency exchange. It could be a smaller webshop with a few foreign suppliers or a consultancy with a single foreign client.
Growth - for companies that exchange regularly Growth is for companies that have ongoing international payments and exchange currency as a regular part of operations. It could be importers with steady supplier agreements abroad or webshops with a stable share of foreign purchases.
Scale - for companies that exchange at scale Scale is for companies with high exchange volume and many international payments. It could be larger importers, exporters, or companies with significant international trade where even a small difference in the currency margin moves meaningful amounts.
How to think about the choice in practice
The simplest question is: how much does your company exchange in a typical month?
A higher package costs more in subscription but gives a lower currency margin in return. This means the extra subscription cost quickly pays for itself if you exchange enough. For example, the difference between Starter and Growth is DKK 200 per month - that difference is typically recovered by exchanging around DKK 200,000 in euro per month, because the margin is 0.10 percentage points lower.
If your exchange volume is very low, Starter is the right choice. If you exchange regularly and at significant volume, Growth or Scale pays for itself.
Can I change packages later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your package if your usage changes. It is not a one-time decision.
Many companies start on the package that fits their current usage and upgrade when their exchange volume increases. This is a natural progression, and changing packages does not cost anything.
What if my company has a particular need?
