How do I add a new beneficiary (supplier or other recipient)?

Adding a new beneficiary (supplier or other recipient) on the Ebury platform is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

2. Go to the beneficiaries section

  • Please select the country where the recipient’s bank is located and the currency of their account.

3. Enter recipient details

  • Fill in the recipient’s name.
  • Optionally add an alias for internal identification, an email address (to send payment execution confirmations), and a permanent payment reference.

4. Bank details

  • Enter the IBAN or account number without spaces or hyphens.
  • Provide the SWIFT/BIC code, which identifies the recipient’s bank.
  • Enter any details about the intermediary bank (preferably only the SWIFT code) if applicable.

5. Address details

  • As a general rule, the recipient’s country should be the same as the bank’s country. If not, select the correct country from the menu.
  • If you have the recipient’s address information, please fill it out, as it may be required depending on the specific country.

6. Verification and security

  • If the recipient’s country and the bank’s location do not match, you will receive a message prompting you to double-check with the recipient.
  • Finally, read and accept the security confirmation, then save the beneficiary.

7. Email confirmation

  • An email will be sent once the beneficiary has been added to confirm the addition to your account.
