What is the difference between KOMPAS FIXED, KOMPAS VARIABLE, and KOMPAS BASIS?
The difference is the interest rate and the term period.
Rate:
- With a KOMPAS FIXED savings account, you get a fixed interest rate.
- With a KOMPAS VARIABLE and KOMPAS BASIS savings account, you get a variable interest rate.
Term period:
- A KOMPAS FIXED savings account has a fixed term, and you can choose between a 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 binding period.
- With a KOMPAS VARIABLE savings account, you have no fixed term but a 31-day notice period for termination. With this account you have more flexible access to your money, but in return, the interest rate can change continuously and is not fixed.
- You have no fixed term or notice period with a KOMPAS BASIS savings account. You have flexible access to your money and can pay it out to your NemKonto whenever you want (up to 5 working days from receipt of a notification). The interest rate is not fixed and can change continuously. In other words, a KOMPAS BASIS account is a savings account with a variable rate and no fixed term period.
