How do I open a savings account?

  1. Sign up as a customer: First, you need to sign up via this link or in our upcoming app using MitID, and then answer a few questions.
  2. Get your BASIS account: Once you are registered, you will automatically be assigned a free BASIS account with no lock-in period and a variable interest rate. Here, you will find the account and registration number you need to transfer money to kompasbank. When making a transfer, the recipient will appear as Banking Circle rather than kompasbank.   3. Create a savings account: Log in to the online bank, click “New”, and choose a KOMPAS FIXED or VARIABLE account that suits your needs.
  4. Transfer funds to your savings: You specify the desired amount when creating the account, and it will be automatically transferred from your BASIS account once sufficient funds are available. Therefore, there must be enough funds in the account.
  5. Be aware of the deadline: You have 10 days to transfer the amount; otherwise, the savings account will be closed automatically.
