What happens when the fixed term on my KOMPAS FAST ends?
When the fixed term on your KOMPAS FAST ends, your entire balance is automatically transferred to your KOMPAS BASIS account. KOMPAS BASIS has no fixed term and a variable interest rate. You don’t need to do anything.
What can I do with the money afterwards?
Once the money is in your KOMPAS BASIS account, you can choose between three options:
- Leave the money in your KOMPAS BASIS account. You don’t need to do anything. See the current interest rate for KOMPAS BASIS on kompasbank’s page on interest rates and fees.
- Open a new savings account. See how below.
- Have the money paid out to your NemKonto. Tap "Withdraw" on your KOMPAS BASIS account, and enter the amount. Read more about withdrawing from KOMPAS BASIS.
If you choose to open a new savings account or have the money paid out, we handle the transfer automatically. You don’t need to contact us afterwards.
How do I move the money to a new savings account?
You can open a new savings account as soon as the money is in your KOMPAS BASIS account:
- Log in to online banking.
- Tap “Ny” (New), and choose a KOMPAS FAST or KOMPAS VARIABLE account.
- Enter the amount you want to deposit into the new savings account.
We automatically transfer the amount from your KOMPAS BASIS account to the new savings account. This also applies if you want to move money that is already in your KOMPAS BASIS account to a new savings account.
You can see the current interest rates and fixed terms on kompasbank’s page on interest rates and fees.
