What happens to my money when the fixed-term period on my savings accounts expires?

When your KOMPAS FAST savings account reaches its maturity date, your balance will automatically be transferred to a KOMPAS BASIS savings account – a savings account with no lock-in period and a variable interest rate. You can see the current interest rate .
 
As soon as your BASIS account appears in our Netbank, you can choose directly there whether you want to:
  • Keep the funds in your KOMPAS BASIS account (you don't need to do anything).
  • Open a new savings account and have the amount from your BASIS account transferred to it (click “Create new account” and enter the amount you want to transfer to your new savings account).
  • Have your total balance paid out to your NemKonto (click “Close account”).
Regardless of whether you choose to open a new savings account or have the amount paid out to your NemKonto, we will automatically handle the transfer. Therefore, you do not need to contact us after making your choice in the Netbank.
