What is the difference between KOMPAS FIXED, KOMPAS VARIABLE, and KOMPAS BASIS?

The difference is the interest rate and the term period.

Rate:

  • With a KOMPAS FIXED savings account, you get a fixed interest rate.
  • With a KOMPAS VARIABLE and KOMPAS BASIS savings account, you get a variable interest rate.

Term period:

  • A KOMPAS FIXED savings account has a fixed term, and you can choose between a 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36 binding period.
  • With a KOMPAS VARIABLE savings account, you have no fixed term but a 31-day notice period for termination. With this account you have more flexible access to your money, but in return, the interest rate can change continuously and is not fixed.
  • With a KOMPAS BASIS savings account, you have no binding period and no notice requirement. You have flexible access to your money, and from your BASIS account you can easily open a new savings account and transfer the desired amount to it, or have your total balance paid out to your NemKonto. The interest rate is variable and may change over time. In other words, a KOMPAS BASIS account is a savings account without binding and with a variable interest rate.
