What is a KOMPAS BASIS savings account?

When the fixed term of your KOMPAS FAST account expires – regardless of the term length – your money will automatically be transferred to a KOMPAS BASIS savings account.
 
A KOMPAS BASIS account is a savings account without a fixed term and with a variable interest rate. You can view the current interest rate here.
 
From your BASIS account, you always have the option to:
  • Keep the funds in the account and benefit from an attractive variable interest rate without any binding period.
  • Open a new savings account and transfer the amount from your BASIS account to it.
  • Have your total balance paid out to your NemKonto.
Regardless of whether you choose to open a new savings account or have the amount paid out to your NemKonto, we will automatically handle the transfer. Therefore, you do not need to contact us after making your selection in Netbank.
