What is a KOMPAS BASIS savings account?

Your BASIS account functions as your central “wallet” – this is where you both deposit money and withdraw it to your NemKonto. It is also on this account that you will find the account and registration number you need to transfer money to kompasbank.

  • Ongoing deposits and withdrawals: You can continuously deposit money into your BASIS account and freely withdraw (partial) amounts to your NemKonto whenever you need.
  • Your fixed base: You can always keep your BASIS account, regardless of whether you have an active KOMPAS FIXED or VARIABLE savings account. It serves as your permanent “home base” for your funds.
  • One central access point: You can always create a new savings account directly in the online bank. Your new savings account is automatically activated as soon as the full amount is available in your BASIS account.
  • Interest on the full balance: Your BASIS account has no lock-in period, yet you still earn an attractive variable interest rate on your balance. You can see the current interest rate .

If you choose to create a new savings account or have the amount paid out to your NemKonto, we will automatically handle the transfer. There is therefore no need to contact us after you have made your selection in the online bank.
