How do I withdraw money from my KOMPAS VARIABLE?
You withdraw money from your KOMPAS VARIABLE by closing the account in online banking. After a notice period of 31 days, the full amount is automatically transferred to your KOMPAS BASIS account. You can’t withdraw part of the amount directly from KOMPAS VARIABLE.
How to withdraw the money
- Go to your KOMPAS VARIABLE account in online banking and select “Opsig konto” (Close account).
- The 31-day notice period starts. When it has ended, the full amount is automatically transferred to your KOMPAS BASIS account.
- Once the money is in your KOMPAS BASIS account, you can leave it there, open a new savings account or have it paid out to your NemKonto.
Can I withdraw part of my KOMPAS VARIABLE?
Not directly. When you close your KOMPAS VARIABLE, the full balance is transferred to your KOMPAS BASIS account. But you can get the same result in two steps:
- Withdraw the amount you need from your KOMPAS BASIS account to your NemKonto.
- Deposit the rest into a new KOMPAS VARIABLE account. That way, you continue to earn a variable interest rate on the part you don’t need. Remember that a new KOMPAS VARIABLE requires a deposit of at least DKK 100,000.
What if I need the money before 31 days?
Then write to our customer support at support@kompasbank.dk. If the money is paid out before the 31 days, we calculate a deduction (dekort), and the money will usually be available in your KOMPAS BASIS account the day after we receive your request.
